Current Research

I am particularly interested in behavioral economics, evolutionary game theory and agent-based modeling. My current research concentrates on the motivational effects of social approval on the supply of collective/public goods and the emergence of cooperation. Using empirical results from behavioral economics to support my assumptions about individual choice and the nature of social approval I construct evolutionary games that are played on dynamic networks allowing for coevolution of strategies and structure.
I have related interests that still consume some of my research effort: social choice theory (with an emphasis on the distribution of cognitive labour in science) and econophysics (with an emphasis on business cycles and wealth inequality).
